This limited edition batch of the best-selling Prisma Sling was developed with my dear friend Shaine Drake. Drake is a marbling artist living and working by the ocean in San Francisco. Using the ever-changing natural world around her as inspiration and escape, she marbles abstract landscapes big and small, close-up and far away.

The gentle, billowing palette of our first collaboration was dreamt up during our regular “dune dates” at San Francisco’s Ocean Beach. The faintest tint of sea foam green, creamy clay and tawny brown ripple and eddy. Individually marbled with acrylic paint on vegetable tanned calf leather, every bag has a one-of-a-kind marbled front and a solid body, back pocket and strap. While the leather starts out as a soft blush, it will gradually darken to a rich caramel brown with exposure to sunlight and the natural oils of our hands. Just as the tides shape the shoreline, this incremental transformation will reveal new dimensions to the swirling tableau.
